Describe your book in five words or less.
New kind of vampire saga.

How did the ideas for your books come to you?
After reading all the YA vampire books, I just knew there had to be more. These are long lived beings. I wanted to know more about where they had been in the past, when I couldn't find anything I decided to write something myself.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
I wanted strong female characters, girls needed to know they could be the ones saving everyone, they didn't need to wait to be saved by a man.

What is the hardest part of writing for you? What's the easiest?
The hardest thing is to get started, for the new novel to find its path. The easiest is the research once I know where the book is going.

What's next for you? Are you currently working on or have plans for future projects?
So many. With book seven of this series done. I am visiting another character that readers wanted to know more about. Lillian. Again a vampire, but this is set in modern times. It's an adventure, with romance thrown in.

Why did you choose to write for specific genre?
I love vampires and I always have, but I also write other YA. Paranormal romance, but adventure is what I really enjoy.

What's it like hearing that readers are eagerly awaiting your book's release date?
It's surreal to think that I have so many interested in my stories now. After only two years, but I love them all and enjoy talking with them everyday on facebook and twitter.

What was your road to publications like?
Interesting. Much more complicated than I thought it would be. Every day I still learn something new, a better way of doing things. You have to be able to adapt, things change so quickly these days.

About the Author:

I grew up in a small northern Minnesotan town married my high school sweetheart, had two beautiful children and as soon as we could we moved to a warmer climate. I have worked with my husband building and decorating custom homes for years. After loving every kind of vampire book, movie and series I decided that I wanted to know more. I can write a book I thought, how hard can that be? Well.... But I stuck to it and finished my first book Royal Blood Chronicles Book One in August 2009. I now have six books in the series and am about to release book two of my new series Phantom Lives. My parents always told me that I could do anything that I wanted, work hard, study and do it right. I believe that and live that way every day.

I started writing this new vampire series for teens and their moms because I myself wanted something different to read. I was tired of all the modern versions of vampire books, there had to be more to these long lived beings. Where had they been what had they seen? I wanted, no I NEEDED to know more so Royal Blood Chronicles was born! As in Royal Blood Chronicles, Phantom Lives features strong female characters and action and adventure mixed with romance, friendship and a historical backdrop.
