Winter COYER (Clean Out Your E Reader) 2018
The Winter COYER is coming in the nick of time as my iPad won't take anymore books (it's an old one - new one on Christmas list). So I'm in.....
COYER Winter 2018 will run from December 1, 2018 to March 2, 2019! Mark your calendars!
COYER rules:
Read Your E-Reads! Every book you read MUST be in an electronic format – meaning E-Book or Audiobook. It’s okay to start a book before December 1st, you must be less than half way for it to count then review it during COYER.
The books must be FREE or NEARLY FREE! This includes review books, tour books, NetGalley, Edelweiss, etc. What’s nearly free? No more than $2 for eBooks and no more than $5 for Audiobooks (or the equivalent in your currency). This does NOT include library books, borrowed books, or Kindle Unlimited books.
Announce your participation! This can be a blog post (or if you don’t have a blog – Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Booklikes, Goodreads, Shelfari, etc.) If you want to list books you would like to read, that’s great, but not necessary. The point is to let everyone know you’re committed to COYER, maybe share some goals, and help spread the word. Not sure how to do your post? Check out this example from a previous COYER.
Link up! Link that post (not just your blog homepage) to the linky below. (remember if you signed up before our site crashed we need you to sign up again)
Review & Link Reviews! Your review may be on your blog, Goodreads, Shelfari, Booklikes, etc. Link the review to the Review Linky (which will be available on the kick off post on December 1st).
We are giving away (2) $10 Gift Cards. One is for the review link and the other is for a goody type of giveaway. It will be for readathons, participating, visiting, etc. We will have all the info on the kick off post.
Visit Each Other, Chat & Have Fun!
Read-a-thons
We will have a few read-a-thons this COYER, where we go to summer rules... as in anything goes. Price and format won't matter during those read-a-thons. We'll have the exact dates for the read-a-thons on the Kick off Post December 1st.
Social Media
If you haven't yet, be sure to join our Facebook group! As always we'll have daily games and questions to chat about. We'll also have 4 twitter parties this time around, dates will be announced on the Kick Off Post. Be sure to follow #COYER for reading updates and for the party! We'll have our month long Instagram challenge in February, so watch for that photo announcement in January!

#COYER Blackout
COYER Blackout will run from December 17, 2016 – March 3, 2017. We will leave the linky open 1 extra day for you to get reviews in, but those reviews need to be posted by the end of the day March 3rd. We will announce winners of (3) $10 gift cards to Amazon or Barnes and Noble on March 4th.
I'm in my goal for 2017 is to clear out some of my old books. Yes there are children's book on there I got when my nephews were younger (now teenagers) so I hope to clear those out. I know less pages - but want to get space in Kindle.
There is still plenty of time to start reading and get those ebooks cleared out.

#COYER Summer Vacation!!!!
Summer’s around the corner and you know what that means? SUMMER VACATION! It’s time to take a break from the work and rules and just let loose! And COYER’s going on Summer Vacation too!
What does that mean exactly?
That we’re throwing away all most the rules again! You ready?!
COYER Summer Vacation
COYER Summer Vacation will run all summer, June 18th – September 2nd!
On September 4th we will announce the winners of THREE $10 Gift cards for Amazon or Barnes & Noble. There will be several opportunities for other prizes throughout the event with our social media games.
The Rules
You must create a sign-up post anytime between now and August 1st – on blog, goodreads, fb, google+, etc.Yes, that means you can sign up until August 1st! But don’t wait, you’ll miss most of the fun!
You must link to the sign-up post below (don’t link to your blog, link to the sign-up post).
You must review books somewhere & link the reviews to the review linky to be eligible for one of the grand prize giveaways.
Have Fun!
Normally you’re only allowed to read eBooks that were less than $5 for COYER, but since this is Summer Vacation you can read whatever you want! To be clear, here are some questions you may be asking…
Can I read a book that cost $10? Yes!
Are Tour books and Author Review books ok? Yes! Yes!
Can I read a paperback? An audio book? An eBook? Yes! Yes! Yes!
Getting the idea? There really are very few rules here. We won’t even have a rafflecopter, to keep things as easy as possible. Instead we’ll be using random.org with the sign-up and review linky (each entry on a linky will be worth 1 entry). So if you’ve added your link there, you’re in the giveaway.
Note: You MUST have a sign-up post! You sign up once, with your sign up post. You can have a post just declaring your intention to participate and you can later update (or repost) with your goals. Or if you know your goals now, go ahead a post them. Here’s an example of both kinds of sign-up post:
Declaring your intention, but no goals? Check out Berls @ Fantasy is More Fun’s post from a couple years ago.
Have some goals already? Check out Michelle @ Because Reading’s post from a couple years ago.
Other Fun Challenges for COYER Summer Vacation
As usual, we never just read books with COYER. For us, COYER is about the amazing community we’ve built. So there’s will be fun social media games in our Facebook Group (join us) and via instagram. We’ve added a fun social media game that’s like BINGO. We hope you’ll love it when we share those details June 18th. We’ll also have a few twitter parties, which are a great chance to chat, plus win lots of prizes.
Are you ready to sign up…? Hold on….
Big news
On June 18th we’ll be unveiling the new home of COYER… coyerchallenge.com ! That’s right folks! No more trying to figure out whose blog you need to visit for the update. No more wondering which one of use said what. It’ll all be in one place. coyerchallenge.com !! We’re super excited and can’t wait to give COYER it’s own home 🙂 So next month when it’s time to kick off and post your first review, don’t come here. Go to:
coyerchallenge.com
Okay, now it’s time to sign up. Add your sign up post link to the linky below. And don’t forget to grab your button!
Link up your sign-up posts here! This must link to your post, not just your blog (or goodreads, facebook, etc). On blog posts, include button (below) - all posts should include link to this post. Have Fun! Sign up open May 21 - August 1.
I've got to get my list together - I think I will try to clear out my children's ABC books - I download most of these in 2012 -2014 when my nephews were younger. It's time to get rid of.
I'll be adding some real books also - just got to go to my Amazon list to see what's out there.
