Mine: What a wonderfully illustrated book. Included are the usual animals – Zebras, Penguins, Tigers – but what a nice change to see Yaks, Vultures, and Manatees – not your usual run in the mill animal.

The rhyming goes perfectly with the animals – “On mountain tops the wind can blow a freezing breeze with ice and snow. But even in the coldest storm, the winter-coated Yak stays warm”

2015 Comic Book Bingo Challenge

The challenge runs from January 1, 2015 - December 31st, 2015 and will be a yearly challenge that anyone can join in every year!

The deadline for sign ups for this challenge is going to be on January 31, 2015. So, please feel free to sign up until then!

Have lots of fun with this challenge! This is a great way to get people to explore more comic books outside of Marvel and DC and be able to get in touch with a lot of good comic books!

2015 The Rabbit Ears Challenge!

January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015



Welcome to the Rabbit Ears Challenge! It’s 2015 and it’s time for brand new challenges for fellow book readers! So, with this new challenge, you can choose either reading card you want to try out and basically these challenges allows you to check out the Rabbit Ears series! So, if you are interested in joining this challenge,please sign up here!

So, here are a couple of rules to go through before we get started:

1. The challenge lasts from January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015 and this will be a yearly challenge meaning that you can try out this challenge any year you want to!

2. The deadline to sign up for this challenge is January 31, 2015, so please sign up before then!

3. You don’t necessarily have to fill out the card or chart, but how you want to challenge yourself with this challenge depends on you.

4. To find these titles, you can either go on Goodreads or the Rabbit Ears Website to check out these titles. Also, if you happen to actually watch these stories on the DVD sets whether they are from the library or you bought them, then you can count them in the challenge also!

5. If you participated in this event, please leave your name and the link to your website in the comments below.

2015 Erotic Romance Reading Challenge

All erotic romances over 80 pages count!

Erotic Romance--means the sexual side of the relationship is front and center in the storyline and a focal point of the relationship.


Examples of authors that are NOT erotic romance--Lori Foster, JR Ward, Jill Shalvis, Nalini Singh

All you do is read then review (on goodreads, amazon or your blog) then link up your review :)


It can be a fusion read (ex--erotic historical)

Cross over from other challenges count.

You don't have to be a blogger to join in. Just use your Goodreads or Amazon account to link up.

2015 Snagged @ The Library Reading Challenge

Hi y’all! Welcome to the 2015 Snagged @ The Library Challenge hosted by The Book Nympho and I. We decided to take the Snagged @ The Library weekly posts and turn it into a year long challenge! So are you ready to ease the punch to your pocket book, support authors, support your local library, and have some fun?

Reading Challenge Details:

• Runs January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015. You can join any time.
• The goal is to read at least twelve (12) books from the library. Twelve should be easy, that’s one a month. While twelve is the minimum, there is no maximum limit. See the different levels below and pick the one that works best for you.
• Any format will work for this challenge (print, ebook or audio) as long as you checked it out from the library it counts.
• Books can be any genre (fiction, nonfiction, romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, etc.).
• Crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed, including re-reads. The goal is to support your local library and save money.
• To join this challenge, grab the 2015 Snagged @ The Library Reading Challenge button and post this reading challenge on your blog to track your progress. Please include a link back to this sign-up post so others can join the reading challenge too. You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads (so as long as you have a dedicated shelf and Felicia has created a Goodreads group), Shelfari (I’ve created a Shelfari group. You can join and post your progress within the group), or BookLikes, etc., for the 2015 Snagged @ The Library Reading Challenge. The point of linking up is to have a place where people can see what you’re reading.

WHERE Are You Reading Challenge 2015

How do you decide what state a book is categorized under?

1. In a fiction read it would be the State or Country that the book spends the most time in. (Ie. If your main character is from Wisconsin but the book is all about his/her time in college in California – the books should categorize under California….)

2. Non fiction reads categorize in whatever State or Country it is about (Ie…. a book about fly fishing in Colorado is a Colorado point, and a book about women in Afghanistan is an Afghanistan point.

3. If the book goes from one state to another… go with the state that most of the time is spent.

How to get started

Grab the challenge button (above) here for your posts and sidebar.

Set up a page to capture your states, countries, etc… however you want to do it.

Additionally, some like to add their books to a Google Map which can be fun to put all the book titles on a map and watch it fill up but of course this is completely optional.

2015 I love Library Books Reading Challenge

Our love of reading can be expensive! Not only are we purchasing books but some of us also need space to keep them. I had so much fun with this challenge last year. Let's do it again!

There are a number of levels, for those who don't have a library card yet to those that live there. Enjoy!

Requirements:
choose a level - you may move up as needed, just not down.
read books you checked out of the library
books may overlap with other challenges
any format allowed (print, ebook, audio)
reviews are not necessary but a list of books read is. (post with review linky is coming in January)
a blog is not necessary, just comment that you want to join in or link up another way

picture book - 6
early reader - 9
chapter book - 12
middle grades - 18
Young adult - 24
adult - 36

2015 I Love Picture Books Reading Challenge

Guidelines:
Challenge runs from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2015
Read picture books.
Pick a number and go for it. Twelve too easy? Go for 20. Piece of cake? Go for 40.
Books you own and library check outs count. So do ebooks and re-reads.

2015 Audiobook Challenge

Reading Challenge Details:

Runs January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015. You can join at anytime.The goal is to find a new love for audios or to outdo yourself by listening to more audios in 2015 than you did in 2014.
Books must be in audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
ANY genres count.
Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed.
You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Shelfari, Facebook, LibraryThing, etc. – I’ve created a Goodreads Group for the challenge, feel free to join.
If you’re a blogger grab the button and do a quick post about the challenge to help spread the word. If you’re not a blogger you can help by posting on Facebook or Tweeting about the challenge.

2015 Read Your Freebies Reading Challenge

This challenge was originally created and hosted by Missie at The Unread Reader, then co-hosted with Kelly at Reading the Paranormal and Amanda at On a Book Bender, and is now hosted by The Book Vixen. Even though the name of the challenge has changed, the goal remains the same: read those freebies!

Reading Challenge Details:

Runs January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015 (ebooks read prior to 1/1/2015 do not count towards the challenge). You can join anytime before 9/30/2015. Sign up on The Book Vixen’s blog.

The goal is to read at least twelve (12) free ebooks. While twelve is the minimum, there is no maximum limit. See the different levels below and pick the one that works best for you. You can move up a level as often as you’d like but no moving down. Remember, the idea is to challenge yourself.

This reading challenge is for LEGALLY obtained FREE ebooks. We do not condone ebook piracy. These can be ebooks offered through bigger sites, such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble, or smaller sites, such as Smashwords and All Romance Ebooks. Ebooks offered through author or publisher websites are acceptable as well, provided they are available free to everyone at the time of download.

Only ebooks and audiobooks that were available free, in a legal manner, to the public will count towards this challenge. eARCs, library books, ebooks free through Amazon Prime/Kindle Unlimited, and/or books won or gifted are not eligible for this challenge.

Any ebook format will work for this challenge (azw, EPUB, iBooks, mobi, PDF, etc.). You DO NOT need to have an ereader to participate in this challenge. You can read ebooks using Amazon’s Free Kindle Reading Apps, which you can download for your iPhone, iPad, Mac, PC, Blackberry and more. Free audiobooks also count towards this challenge provided they are free to the public. They can't be free as a condition of signing up for a service and they can't be provided by the publisher for review.
Ebooks can be any genre (fiction, nonfiction, romance, fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, etc.).

Crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed, however, re-reads are not eligible for this challenge. The goal is to read the freebies you’ve legally acquired so that they are off your TBR pile.

To join this challenge, grab the 2015 Read Your Freebies! Reading Challenge button and post this reading challenge on your blog to track your progress. Please include a link back to this sign-up post so others can join the reading challenge too. You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, LibraryThing, BookLikes, etc., so as long as you have a dedicated shelf for the 2015 Read Your Freebies!
