GoodReads: While teaching upper- and lowercase letters to preschoolers, Ehlert introduces fruits and vegetables from around the world. A glossary at the end provides interesting facts about each food.

Mine: What a wonderful and colorful way for children to learn the alphabet, while learning about fruits in veggies. I have to say most of my favorites were – YUM – fruits – Blueberry, Cherry, Grapefruit, Lime, Orange, Pomegranate, Raspberry and Strawberry
And - ICKKKK – veggies – Beets, Jicama, Parsnip, Turnip and x = Xigua (Chinese word for watermelon – too many seeds for me)

The illustrations are wonderful and very colorful and if you went to the supermarket/grocery store the items would be easy to spot based on the pictures.

I’m trying to read A-Z books this month. Some with be children’s which are always easy to find, but will be looking for A-Z books in all genres
