Author Interview: Order of the Dimensions by Irene Helenowski




1. Who or what inspired you to become a writer?
I just finished my dissertation and needed a small break from my research but at the same time, needed something else to so I decided to start writing some science fiction.

2. How long did it take you to write Order of The Dimensions?
A year, more or less.

3. While writing how many times do you go back and rewrite a plot?
Quite a few times; sometimes, I also re-arrange the order, no pun intended, of the stories within the plot.

4. You run into a bookstore, where do you go first?
The science section :)

5. How many books in a month do you tend to read?
I try to read at least one or two books a month.

6. In all the books you've read. Who is your most favorite character and why?
I loved Catherine Morland in Northanger Abbey for her sense of adventure and how she did her own thing, no matter what anyone else thought.

7. State 5 random facts about yourself.
Got my PhD in biostatistics, have an autograph of Former President Jimmy Carter, love trying adventures like going on a seaplane ride or hot air balloon, secret Talespin fan, and Madame Butterfly is my favorite opera.


8. Your favorite Genre?
I don't have a favorite, per say; I just like to read what strikes my fancy.

9. What are you currently reading?
The Hidden Reality by Brian Greene, which discusses the real physics regarding the multiverse theory and the theory of multiple dimensions within a universe.

10. What is the best book you've read?
I really can't choose, but among my favorites are Oliver Twist, Quo Vadis, and The Grapes of Wrath.

11. Any new projects coming up?
I'm trying to work on a sequel now.

About The Book
When Jane Kremowski first began her graduate studies in physics at Madison State University in Wisconsin, little did she know where her work would take her. Now, she is embroiled in a multitude of dimensions all leading to different outcomes. She and her colleagues therefore must act wisely in order to take and keep away the Order of Dimension from falling into the wrong hands for the sake of her loved ones.

About the Author
Irene Helenowski is statistical analyst collaborating with several biomedical researchers who lives and works in Chicago. She recently received her doctorate degree in Biostatistics from the University of Illinois – Chicago. Her interests include attending art exhibits and music concerts of all types, reading about current scientific advances and theory, and creative writing. She is also looking into foundations which help promote the sciences to youth groups.
